WHAT THE HIRE INVOLVES
We check the car, roof type, permitted roof load, roof bars and mounting requirements before agreeing a hire. A roof tent is not suitable for every vehicle.
The tent is fitted to suitable bars and you are shown how to open, close, secure and use it. Allow enough time for fitting and the practical walkthrough.
Bars are subject to vehicle compatibility and availability.
Minimum hire charge: short hires, including one-day hires and same-day returns, are welcome. Charges are based on a minimum of four days in June, July, August and December, and three days during the rest of the year.
Longer trips: the reduced daily bands apply only to the additional days. Contact us for more than 21 days.
Payment: cash or bank transfer. The complete price and arrangements are confirmed directly.
ROOF-TENT BASICS
It depends on the vehicle manufacturer’s limits, the roof design, the bars and the tent. Send the make, model, year, body style and roof type so the full combination can be checked.
Yes. The tent needs a suitable approved bar system. If you do not already have compatible bars, ask about hiring them with the tent.
The TentBox Lite is intended for up to two people and the Lite XL for up to four. Comfort also depends on the occupants and the amount of bedding you bring.
Bring suitable bedding and your normal camping essentials. A full camping-equipment list will be added later; you will also be able to request an item that is not shown.
No. It must be fully closed, secured and checked before driving. Follow the handover instructions and the limits agreed for the vehicle and equipment.
Roof tent suitability depends on the vehicle, its roof, the bars and the specific tent. Share your car details, number of campers and intended dates so we can discuss your plans.
